The Truth about truth about Reincarnation
I grew up believing in reincarnation so for me there was never a doubt. Frankly, it seemed odd to believe otherwise because I found it hard to believe anyone would think spirit, god, whatever you call it, would go to all this trouble for us to just do this once.
Now having worked with a lot of clients doing past-life regressions it occurs to me that there is something to the idea “you only live once.” The truth is you—the way you are with your unique personality, body, likes, dislikes, and even your morals and beliefs—will only live this one time. People bring some qualities, likes, dislikes (particularly of certain people), and tendencies from one life to the next, but you really are a different person.
You come to this Earth at this time and place, with all your unique personal qualities for a set of reasons. Maybe it was to learn something, to teach something, to grow as a soul. Perhaps you were sent here to influence a group of people and be influenced by others yourself. Maybe you were sent here to channel wisdom to a particular group of souls you were meant to help evolve with that message. Some people are sent here to create art that makes people feel something. Maybe you are just here to have fun. You will likely not learn all the reasons till you die, if then.
You were made specifically for the job you are to do.
I see clients all the time who wish they were more attractive, more athletic, thinner, and even just plain taller. But consider this, your particular body type and personality characteristic are all part of that package and that mission you were sent here to do. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you are better or worse than someone else based on your body.
I have a friend who weighs around 200 pounds; she has a medical condition that makes it hard for her to lose weight and she is constantly complaining that she wishes she was thinner. But the truth is she is perfect; she helps very obese clients through the gastric bypass procedure process. And her clients love her; they feel very comfortable with her BECAUSE she is not a size 6, she’s like them only further down the trail.
If you live life without ever questioning what you are supposed to be doing, you might miss a great opportunity to create great satisfaction and joy by living your life’s purpose.
Since, in a way, you do only live once, ask yourself what your life is supposed to be about. Then see where that takes you.
Bottom line:
You matter.
You are important.
You are loved.
Remember that for times when life hits you in a bad way and you question why you are here at all. Love yourself enough to know the answers you seek are right inside of you and that you are perfect just as you are. Much love.
